Greetings. AlaskaPros was created by Brian & Shelly Rippy after many years of planning and escorting group tours to the great state of Alaska. Over the years we have gained the respect and have become friends with dozens of the people who own or manage many of the hotels, resorts, restaurants and attractions that we visit. You will see why we ARE the ones to show you the real Alaska.

Another tour company that we own and operate is B&S Excursions. It, along with AlaskaPros, is a family owned and operated business located at 113 North Meridian Street in Portland, Indiana. We both have been involved in planning, organizing and escorting group tours since 1982.  What started out as a part-time hobby grew into a full-time career in 1991. Our business expanded in 1995 when we purchased Citizens Travel Center, expanding our office to a full service travel agency. 

We strive to provide unique tours of value to our customers by organizing and escorting our own tours.  We like to specialize in “people meeting people” tours by visiting rural communities and farms in other countries.  Having visited farms and stayed with families in Germany, Switzerland , Austria, England, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand and China, we feel that one of the best ways to learn about a country and it’s people is to visit it’s rural communities.  Other services we offer include organizing and escorting tours for service clubs, businesses, schools, banks, churches and other organizations.  Tours are customized to meet the needs of each individual group.   

Over the years we United Kingdom, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia , China (two times), Australia (three times), New Zealand, Mexico , Canada, South America, Chile, Peru and have cruised the Panama Canal four times.  The destination we return to the most frequently is Alaska .  This year will be our 14th season returning to the “Land of the Midnight Sun”.  We have escorted fourteen Alaskan Land Tours, five Inside Passage Cruises and have attended the Iditarod Dog Sled Race in Nome three times.  This year we will be experiencing Alaska on another fantastic10-Day land tour in June.
